The colors of autumn are finally starting to appear. The long-running drought was expected to mute the colors, but recent rains helped the deciduous trees develop color before their leaves fall to the ground for the winter. Most counties in south central Oklahoma received less than two inches of rain for the months of September and October combined. These same areas have already received more than that since November first. It is not only beginning to look like autumn, it feels like it too. This week’s weather will feature bright sunny afternoons with high temperatures around 60 degrees and morning lows in the 30s.
