KCNP Location

KCNP – Chickasaw Community Radio Network provides news, public affairs, weather coverage and a wide variety of music for citizens in south-central Oklahoma.

KCNP – Chickasaw Community Radio Network broadcasts in the Pontotoc County area on 89.5 FM, in the Carter County area on 89.3 FM, in the Garvin County area on 104.5 FM, in the Johnston County area on 97.3 FM and streams online at http://kcnp.streamon.fm/.

Owned by and operated as a public service of the Chickasaw Nation, KCNP is a non-commercial community radio station.

A vision of Governor Bill Anoatubby, KCNP Chickasaw Community Radio Network was created to connect citizens through quality programming and news.


Weather – KCNP is recognized by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) as a Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador for its willingness to improve the nation’s readiness, responsiveness and overall resilience against extreme weather, water and climate events.

Weather-Ready Nation Ambassadors commit to:

  • Promoting Weather-Ready Nation messages and themes to their stakeholders
  • Engaging with NOAA personnel on potential collaboration opportunities
  • Sharing their success stories of preparedness and resiliency
  • Serving as an example by educating employees on workplace preparedness

By being a WRN Ambassador, KCNP is dedicated to helping its listeners become more prepared and safe during a severe weather event.
